OLD WORLD TERRESTRIAL REPLICA MAP TABLETOP GLOBE

This magnificent navigator's terrestrial globe showcasing a replica of a 16th century map by legendary cartographer, Gerardus Mercator puts the Old World at your fingertips.  The map is hand applied over the papier-mâché core and stands atop a classic French globe stand crafted of hand-turned cherry wood.  Wonderful details such as the bronze meridian ring and small bronze pole circle and pointer add to the look.  The globe is then accented with a paper zodiac band circling the equator as originally drawn by the cartographer Mercator.  This medium size globe measures approximately: 10.25" Diameter x 11.75"H.
