WILLIAM MORRIS "STRAWBERRY THIEF" COIR DOORMAT
FROM THE VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM COLLECTION
Enhance the entrance to your home with our high quality, hand-woven coir doormat showcasing William Morris' "Strawberry Thief" design licensed by the Victoria & Albert Museum. The intricate “Strawberry Thief,” with its mischievous birds––juicy berries dangling from their beaks––is inspired by one of the most iconic works of the 19th century by great champion of the Arts and Crafts Movement, William Morris (1834-96), who based his design on the thrushes he saw stealing strawberries from the grounds of Kelmscott Manor, his Oxfordshire home.
Constructed of 100% natural coir with backing. Hand painted with eco-friendly dyes - multiple stencils are used to recreate this stunning artwork. Measures approximately: 18" x 30". Because each doormat is handmade of all natural products - sizes and colors will vary slightly.
PLEASE NOTE: Recommended for use in a sheltered outdoor area that is not exposed to direct sunlight to preserve the longevity of the colors. Because each doormat is handmade of all natural products - sizes and colors will vary slightly. Please be aware that color variations may occur between the product photo and the colors on your computer screen.
AVAILABLE SIZES: The William Morris "Strawberry Thief" doormat is available in two sizes: 18" x 30" and 24" x 36". Each size is available in a separate listing in our store.
